I’ve met many people in Chicago with an interest in hopping on a bike and regularly riding to work, but they decide against it because they feel too nervous about cycling in Chicago traffic. Without a doubt, cycling in Chicago traffic can be a scary experience. But keep in mind, a lot of people do it and have no trouble at all.
To help people conquer their fears of urban cycling, I decided to put the question to a handful of Chicago cycling instructors: How can a novice cyclist become more comfortable riding in big city traffic?
